Then Rev. K. Obranagan came back and he was our pastor until late in 1865 or early in 1866 and for a time he had an assistant, Father Byrne or Burns (I don't know which way his name was spelled) but they called him Father Burns. Then Father Pugh came and for a short time he lived in the home of Robert Robinson near the church. Father Obranagan was succeeded by Father Kearney, the first priest to live in what is now the Conneautville Mission. Although he lived in Linesville, his Mission was just the same as now — Conneautville, Linesville, and Summit. Next, was Father Snivly and I can't just remember when he came but he was in poor health when he came to us and died in August 1868. Next came Rev. M.E. Tracy. He came in Sept. 1868 and was our pastor until 1871. Then Rev. John Donnlly, from 1871 until 1874. Rev. John Reddy, from Feb. 1878 until Nov. 1888. Father Dwyer, a short time between the time Father Lynch left and Rev. P.M. Cauley came in March or the first of April 1889. He was here until Sept. 1893. Rev. Thos. Graham, from 1893 until Oct. 1897. Then Father Miller was here six weeks. Rev. John F. Butler, from Nov. 1897 until he was taken from us by death. He died April 19, 1928 and I feel sure he is in Heaven, today reaping the reward of his many kind acts done for his people when they wanted a friend that the world did not know about but his Heavenly Father did. Then his successor was our beloved pastor, Rev. John A. McAndrew who came in July 1928 and I hope my pen will never have to write he left us on such a date for he surely has done a great deal for our forlorn little church on the corner and in his manner, he makes us think that the same Redeemer is offered up on our humble altar out in the quiet country as is offered every morning in the grand churches in the city. He makes us feel that wherever our lot is cst [sic], whether in a quiet country home or the noisy city, if we try to do our Heavenly Father's will while here on earth, he will reward us with a home in Heaven -- a blessing that the members of the Congregation of the Immaculate Conception Church, Summit, which their beloved Father McAndrew.
The pioneers who were active in helping to build the church were Thomas McGuire, Philip McGuire, James McGuire, John Clancy, Michael McCarthy, Timothy Clark, Daniel Boyle, James Boyle, Felix Duffy, Robert.~ Robinson, William Englehoupt.
Father Kearney was the first priest to live in what is now St. Peter's Church and Missions of Conneautville, Linesville, and the Summit. He lived in an old house on the lot where the Linesville Church now stands. Father Kearney was the first pastor, then Father Snivly was the next and he died in Linesville, August 1868. when he died there were three men chosen to accompany his remains to Erie. They were Simon Spellacy, Conneautville; Martin Welsh, Linesville, and Robert Robinson, Summit. While there Father Cody asked if they thought they could pay $800.00 per year.
